# Optional external fonts

This macro package contains no font files, variable font sources or font-generation tools.

## Works immediately

TeX Gyre Heros is the automatic fallback (provided by the TeX distribution). pdfLaTeX always uses it. With XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX, `standardfonts` forces it. Latin Modern Mono is used for code under Unicode engines.

## Optional institutional typography

Download Afacad Flux and Inter Tight separately from their official Google Fonts pages:

Install both families using your operating system's font installer, then restart your editor and compile with XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX using `\documentclass[brandfonts]{juniamaroc-beamer}`. With `brandfonts`, the class looks up the family names `Afacad Flux` and `Inter Tight`; it selects the brand typography only if both are available. Prefer static Regular, Bold, Italic and Bold Italic faces when available: support for variable fonts depends on the engine and distribution version. Download and installation are separate user actions; this package does not install or download fonts.

The fonts retain their providers' licenses (SIL OFL); consult the notices accompanying the downloads. OFL is not a license for files bundled in this macro package because none of those font files are included. Do not add font files when re-uploading this package to CTAN.

Tests of system-font detection do not imply compatibility with every downloaded variable-font version. The standard-font path requires no brand-font installation.

Font-family lookup can be slow on older XeLaTeX installations. Omit `brandfonts` for immediate, reproducible compilation; update the TeX installation and font cache if using optional system fonts.
